The Equifax Breach

Equifax is one of the three credit bureau. Equifax holds records of
over 800 million peoples credit history in the US and internationally.

Once Equifax had been hacked, hackers had acces to personal data,
social security, and addresses. Around 200 thousand credit card
number were accessed. The people hacked? Normal everyday people.
Families and innocent people were the people who's lives were
potentially ruined. If your family was hacked, the ability for
you to buy a house or car could be affected.

In order to find out if your data was breached, you have to go
to the Equifax breach settlement website and imput your last name and
last six digits of your social security code.

To compensate the millions of people who were breached, they gave
the oppurtunity for people to file a claim and take 125 dollars.
They also gave out free credit monitoring.
